Entry requirements for Royal Holloway

As an overseas student there are two standard entry requirements you must meet for all programmes in order to study at Royal Holloway: academic and English language entry requirements. 

For some programmes such as the MBAs, any Music or Social Work programmes, there are further requirements such as a level of music proficiency or work experience.  Please see the relevant prospectus or department web pages for this information.

Standard academic entry requirements

English language entry requirements

If your first language is not English, you did not do your first degree or previous education in an English speaking country (such as the UK, USA, Australia, Canada or New Zealand) you may be required to show your English language proficiency by taking one of the standard recognised tests of English.  Please go to English Language Entry Requirements for more information on this.
