Guided coach tour of local area (Egham/Staines/Eton) followed by free lunch in Windsor and tour of castle;
(back at Royal Holloway around 6pm).

Sunday 11th January:  free day; main student body returns to campus and dining halls re-open.
Monday 12th January: start of semester: lectures begin.

The College Card

The College Card, as well as being your main form of ID, will also give you access to the libraries, your room (dependent upon which hall that you will be living in) and your 'RCS' account which will allow you to pay for purchases in the various dining halls/cafes/outlets etc on campus run by Facilities Management.

To apply for the card, please download the application form, complete this & return the card application as soon as possible to the address below so that your card can then be ready for you on arrival. Scanned copies (if the photo is of good enough quality) sent via e-mail (

to sign-up@rhul.ac.uk) are also acceptable.

College Computers: Essential Guide Session

An introduction to the computers on campus and the Computer Centre has been organised especially for you to help you familiarise yourself with the PC lab procedures and PC support options on Campus.

This introduction will take place on 9th January at 1pm. Due to room capacity constraints, Visiting Students have been split into two groups, and to find out which group you are in, please refer to the lists below which will show your RHUL student ID number (as shown in your offer letter).
